Dan has been a professional, commercial baker for nearly 30 years. He loves making with his hands. 30 years ago he was known for having no idea what to do with a tool. He didn’t grow up around DIYers and it sure didn’t seem natural. Little by little he started dabbling with some home improvement projects. You can teach yourself a lot with YouTube videos. When his father-in-law died he inherited a lot of his woodworking tools. Dan took that as a sign to give it a try.
He started with little projects and has continued to learn, experiment and try out new things. He’s learned his way around the shop, invested in more tools (you can never have too many power tools!) and started gathering scrap wood. He loves the challenge of taking the leftovers, whether that’s pallet wood or construction site scraps, and making them into something desirable.
